Welcome Metagamers!
Welcome Metagamers!
The Illini Metagamers is a club at the University of Illinous Urbana-Champaign made for anyone who loves any game that can be played on a table (and then some)!
We have a focus on RPGs (such as D&D or Pathfinder), board games (such as Betrayal, Sentinels, or Shadow Hunters), and card games (such as Magic: the Gathering), but anyone can feel free to bring anything to play. Our primary service is to provide a space for gamers, and everything we do is very casual.
We're also very new-player friendly! No experience is required for any of our games/events! There will always be someone to help you out and guide you along so that you can start having fun as quick as possible.
Most of our Club Proceedings are run through our Discord Community, so be sure to join using the button below!

This is an open event for anyone to come by and play some games. We provide a large selection of free-to-use games from our Game Cases, and make use of the auxilary classrooms from the atrium for TTRPG one-shots, Magic: The Gathering, Warhammer games, and more private tabletop gaming.

Support Metagamers!
At the Illini Metagamers, we strive to be as inclusive as possible, welcoming any member of the University of Illinois community to come together and enjoy our offerings in tabletop gaming, all while participating at no cost.
No membership dues, no entrance fees, nothing, just pure fun!
However, that does limit us somewhat in terms of what we can offer as the Illini Metagamers.
By donating, you'll help us acquire more games, enabling us to offer cheap or free food and drink at events, and access better resources and supplies for running the Illini Metagamers.
